I don't care if they are played a hundred times a day. I still love them all. Journey takes me back to the 80s, and Hot n' Cold is just a great routing song! Faithfully by Journey Don't Stop Believin' by Journey Hot n' Cold by Katy Perry

Movie Review – Crazy, Stupid Love
Tonight's movie on date night was Crazy, Stupid Love with Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling. I give it a YES GO SEE it. It was funny, not completely predictable, and Carell once again performed as he has before - wonderfully. The movie plot is Carell's character Cal Weaver is a 40-something man whose wife has …
I Want to Be a Lawyer, Not a Doctor, Thank You
Let me just set the record straight. I had a 3.67 GPA in college. I graduated 3rd in my class of 72 from high school. I never got a C on my report card from kindergarten through the first semester of law school. I have only received two C's ever - both in law school …

Saturday is Date Night
Ever since I've been in law school, every Saturday night, we have date night. Most of the time, we go out to the movies, and we've seen just about every new release that has come out in the past two years. It's been a great time, although I think part of that has led to …
On finishing books
Lawyer bear! I used to feel obligated to finish all the books I started reading. That, of course, was before law school. Now, if I don't want to read something, I just don't. I have enough stuff I dread reading for school! I think that there are tons of good books out there, and tons …

More Tour Follies
Today was the first day that a tour was led by someone else in my department. I was so excited to finish up the tour guide booklets yesterday so that I can hand some of this stuff off to others and get back to some of the rest of my job. They are busy, too, …
In the Navy You Can Sail the Seven (or at least three) Seas
My husband was in the Navy when he was in his 20s. He stayed in for four years, with the express goals of getting enough GI Bill money to go to college and to learn everything he could about mechanical engineering while he was on active duty. He turned 47 today, so it's been quite …

My Friends at the Pool
So I have a couple of friends at the pool. They are pretty small guys, and they really don't talk or anything. They just like a cool drink of water now and then. At first, I thought they were just pesky little creatures trying to drive me away so that all of their buggy friends …
You Cannot Swim in the Lake Until You Learn to Swim
My grandmother used to tell a good story about swimming that I remembered when I was in the pool today. She and my grandfather lived on a lake. They had a great corner lot, so both sides of their gigantic yard backed up to the lake. They bought the place in the 1960s when real …
