Tuesday, July 22, 2014, 6:45PM off the coast of Miami over the Atlantic

Nothing but blue ocean below, dotted with cargo ships here and there, clouds below us floating like lamps above an atrium. We are off the coast of Miami headed for Barcelona.

Sitting in Business Class is definitely the way to go. More room, better food, a better blanket and pillow and the coolest little pack of toiletries I’ve yet to receive on an plane. It is worth the 90,000+ miles I cashed in. There is even a divider between you and your neighbor so that you don’t have to roll over and see him in the night!

Sweetie is stuck back in coach. He didn’t have enough miles to cash in to buy his ticket. This was the only flight I could get with both of us on it together this week of the year. I could have outright paid for my ticket, but it was more than I wanted to pay. Plus I really wanted to make this as memorable as possible for him. I hope he enjoys it. W are going for his birthday. Cursing to the Meditteranean. Headed to Italy, Spain, France, and Tunisia for nearly two weeks.

The captain came back a few unites ago. There was an entire row in Business left. He sat in it and then pulled this curtain thing all the way around him. Although I don’t get a curtain I do get other perks.

I am currently enjoying To Kill A Mockingbird with Gregory Peck. My inflight free entertainment. This is sweet! I don’t think I have ever seen the movie although I read the book long ago in high school. Classic movie. Law. Total win win for this traveler.
