My favorite month is October, mainly because the weather here starts to calm down a bit and gets cool enough that one can go outside and read during the daytime.

We live in a fairly hot climate. We do see the seasons change, and it gets pretty cold in the winter, but in the summer it's just a bit too hot. Since we are in the middle of the country, we get zero breeze and instead get horrendous humidity. My curly hair is totally unmanageable in the summer, so I just give up doing anything about it.

I love October because it gives us all a chance to get out to all of the natural wonders of our state.
