Well, today, I have reached my fitness and eating goal. Even without exercise, I would have met my goal and not gone over my calorie intake. It was amazing! I did my 30 laps again and 200 kicks, and amazingly there were no fires. Thankfully.
I ate a salad for lunch with very little dressing, and I also had a yogurt (I actually like them!) and then we had spaghetti for dinner. It’s amazing what you find out about food when you take the time to see how much food actually costs your body every day. It’s not a diet, per se, because I’m not saying I’m only going to eat celery for a week or something stupid. It’s just a change of perspective.
So, I just looked up cabernet savignon and it is only 120 calories per serving, so it’s really not that bad. I’ll have to keep that in mind.
I asked someone yesterday if I get to save up the calories I haven’t used and use them at week’s end. Someone said you get to, but I don’t know. I think that it’s better to just not use them and get over the whole eating junk food thing.
I love chocolate milkshakes. That’s my biggest hurdle, I think. If I can find the Yoplait chocolate mousse then I’m there. If not, we’ll try frozen yogurt with 2% milk and see where that gets me. 330 calories. Well, that’s better than the 1000 calories from a Coldstone Creamery milkshake.
I know that once you start eating a different variety of food, your body and taste buds get used to it. I’ve done this before. I was married previously, and my ex-husband was quite overweight. He was not into exercise, and he didn’t encourage mine, even going so far as to say something really nasty when I had reached my own personal goal. Now, I don’t have to worry about that! I am able to exercise and have a great time doing it.
My new husband is also on MyFitnessPal and is really getting into it. That’s really cool, since we’re doing it together. I am glad, since we can cook together and stay on our plan. Both of us want to lose about 30 pounds each, which isn’t a great huge deal, although it’s a tough goal to have when you work and go to school.
Anyway, I am glad that we have a good goal. I’m glad we’re taking steps to make it work, and I’m really looking forward to continuing. I have worked out, in my head anyway, what I will do when the fall semester starts. I have some days that I don’t go to school until 7pm and other days that I get out at 8pm. I’m off on Friday, so that will give me three good workout days even if I can’t get the others done for one reason or another.
Keep the faith – I can do this.
